Vanuatu boasts some of the best game & deep water fishing grounds in the Pacific due to its volcanic geology. Our fishing waters around Espiritu Santo are characterized by submerged seamounts which rise from depths as great as 600 meters up to about 24 meters beneath the surface providing rich fishing grounds.

On the Eastern side of Santo our fishing grounds include waters around such islands as Aese, Tutuba & Mavea where Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Giant Trevally, Dogtooth Tuna and large Yellowfin Tuna are common species of fish found in this area. The same varieties of fish are caught around Araki Island and Pasco Bank in the Bouganville Strait, located a short distance from South Santo. Traveling distances are short & all areas have serious tidal flow which lends itself to good fishing.
